Seems that we are getting older at the office! This is another baby quilt for for my friend Guys' first grand child . They selected a panel set pattern based on owls. Assembly of the tree blocks was a bit tricky at first, but I figured it out. The quilting pattern was a lot of work however!

A friend asked me to make a quilt for his grand daughter. They selected a simple picket fence pattern, I added some extra details. I embroidered the letters of her name on the corners using a teddy bear alphabet.

This is another quilt I made to donate. Based on a pattern using three sets of different colours to create the colour contrast.

Fairy Tales Baby Quilt

This is another quilt I made to donate at the office. It is based on a standard alternating spool block with a series of blocks cut from a single piece of fabric of fairies. I added 4 embroidered fairies on to complete the corners on the border.

Christmas Sock

I was asked to make something for a colleague who was on deployment is the Canadian Navy from our office over the Christmas period. Since it has to be small and light I chose to make a Christmas sock.

Never having made a Christmas sock, I found a basic pattern and made this. It is a full quilt, lined and stitched.

Using my embroidery software I designed this crest for the sock.

This was a class project to teach us how to make interlaced patterns using 4 contrasting colours. I did not select the colours for this but I think it came out nice! I use it on my coffee table.

Festive Charm Place Mats and Table Runner

This is another project I made to donate. I purchased a number of table place mat with table runner patterns and several jelly roll packs. I chose the Festive Charm pack for this set given that the charity fund raiser occurs just before Christmas. While I had purchased two of the jelly roll packs as recommended in the pattern, it turned out that these jelly rolls didn't have the required number of different colours in them. I had to add some fabric from my own stash, however I don't have the same style of fabric. In the end it still looks nice!

The first step was to get the strips in a nice order. For this I had to have help. I don't have pictures of all the process, but it was a lot of detail cutting and sewing.
